As we age factors such as gravity, lack of collagen, loss of volume and the deterioration of the muscle structure of the face, all contribute to making us look older. While patients tend to focus their anti-ageing efforts on the face, they can find that the neck area is left showing greater signs of ageing.
Contrary to popular belief, facial muscles tighten with age. This is often most noticeable in the platysma bands of the neck – those thick bands of muscle which stretch from the chin to the collarbone area which become more pronounced with age (like tight, hard ropes). At the same time, because the skin is more lax, horizontal lines and loose skin under the chin start to show.
Up until now this has been a difficult area to treat, without resorting to a surgical neck lift. But now, by combining a number of non-invasive treatments, I can offer patients a neck lift and rejuvenation, without the risks, downtime or costs associated with surgery.
For horizontal lines: Botulinum Toxin
Horizontal lines across the neck area can be reduced with injections of botulin toxin.
Carefully placed injections along the jawline and down the sides of the neck can sharpen the jawline and lift the lower skin of the face.
For vertical platysma bands: Dracula Therapy™ (PRP)
Changes that occur to the facial muscle structure as we grow older all contribute to the ageing process. Facial muscles grow tighter as we age, so I use intramuscular injections of Dracula Therapy™ (PRP) to rejuvenate and restore the platysma bands (in the same way as we would use the treatment to heal an injured muscle). After treatment the platysma bands will relax, and will therefore be less visible.
For loose skin under the chin: Fractora fractional radio-frequency treatment
Loose skin under the chin can be reduced and tightened delivering fractional radio frequency energy to the skin via tiny pin pricks, which in turn heat the skin. This gentle warming of the sub-dermal tissue promotes collagen production and allows the skin to heal faster. The repair process happens below the surface of the skin, meaning maximum results.
The combination of these three hugely successful non-invasive treatments, applied in the correct way, will rejuvenate and re-tense the neck area – giving the effect of a surgical neck lift, without any scars, with no downtime and with minimal risk.
The non-surgical neck lift & rejuvenation is available in one quick and easy 45minute appointment. Patients will generally see results within two weeks and I would recommend the treatment should be repeated once a year.
