VI Precision Peel – results on sun damaged skin

I wanted to share with you the results of the VI Precision Peel. This peel is made from the same ingredients as the standard VI Peel, but at a higher concentration, giving a peel that’s about 25% stronger. It’s excellent for treating stubborn hyper pigmentation, including melasma, actinic keratosis (dry scaly patches of skin causes by sun damage) and age spots.

One of my team recently came back from holiday with profound sun damage, possibly made worse by the medication she is currently taking. She was clearly very upset about the situation, and we went ahead with the VI Precision Peel.

In the ‘before’ photo you can clearly see the extent of the sun damage, which was proving impossible to cover with make-up. The ‘after’ photo is taken 8 days post peel. There is still a little redness and the results are improving every day –  overall I think you’ll agree it’s an impressive result. I’ll post another photo of the results one month on in a follow-up post.

Some patients will benefit from more than one peel – and that’s something I discuss at a consultation.

Remember the results in this photo are after only one application and will continue to improve over the course of a few more weeks.

As well as tackling sun damage the VI Peels also:

  • Improves the tone, texture and clarity of your skin
  • Reduces or eliminates age spots, freckles and hyper-pigmentation
  • Softens lines and wrinkles
  • Clears acne skin conditions and reduces or eliminates acne scars
  • Stimulates the production of collagen and elastin for firmer, more youthful skin

I’ve included more information about the various chemical peels I offer in this previous post. If you’ve got any questions about peels, or any of the other treatments I offer, you can comment on this blog post, email me at or tweet me @DrDanielSister. I look forward to you getting in touch.
