Dr Sister is pleased to annouce that he is now offering the Plexr Plasma Soft Surgery System. This is an incredible alternative to invasive surgery, reducing risk, recovery time, cost and possible complications.
What is it used for?
Plexr’s most common use is blepharoplasty – (eyelid surgery) a corrective procedure that addresses issues of the eyelids, which tightens the skin around the eyes reducing droop, puffiness and excess skin.
However Plexr can be used for a range of other issues. These include eye bags, face and neck lifts, removing moles, treating scars and removing stretch marks.
How does it work?
Plexr uses what is called the forth state of matter – plasma. It ‘sublimate’s’ the tissue being treated by ionising gases the gas particles in the air between the tip of the device and the skin being treated, to create an electrical arc (like a tiny lightening bolt). No heat spreads to the surrounding areas. Whereas a surgical option would remove the tissue, Plexr causes the tissue to contract and tighten, and results are instant.
What happens during treatment?
Before treatment begins a topical anaesthetic cream is applied to the skin and left in place for around 3o minutes. The treatment itself may feel hot, but should not be too uncomfortable.
Is there any downtime?
The downtime associated with Plexr Soft Surgery is far less than with conventional surgery. There will be some redness and swelling for two – three days, then the skin will form a scab which must not be picked, scratched or rubbed. This will fall off within the first week to reveal new, pink skin. It is important that the treated area is kept clean, that you do not use any products not recommended by Dr Sister and that you stay out of the sun.
How long do results last for?
Results will last for as long as those achieved with conventional surgery.
