Thread Lift – Thread Face Lift
If you would like a younger look you should seriously consider a thread lift/thread face lift.
PDO (Polydioxanone) threads can effectively and quickly contour the jawline and neck and also get rid of wrinkles.
How does a thread lift work?
PDO threads, also nicknamed the thread facelift, stimulate the growth of collagen, they lift the face so as to accentuate your cheeks, tightening the jawline and diminishing the jowls.
These threads have gained a lot of recognition and are very popular. They can be inserted almost anywhere but are at their most effective whilst treating the jawline and neck.
As well as being used to stimulate collagen growth, there are several treatment benefits from threads:
* Rejuvenation of the skin
* A brightened tone of skin
* Reduction in skin wrinkles (12 to 18 months)
* No surgery and a very minimal downtime
The Mint ® (Minimal Invasive Nonsurgical Thread) Lift
This is the thread lift offered by Dr. Sister (who is a UK training partner). Because these threads are so versatile Dr. Sister can create a highly-customized treatment for his patients.
Dr. Sister is an expert in this thread lift and knows exactly how to get the very best results that will last, as well as look very natural.
It’s important to understand that this thread face lift is minimially invasive. It is safe and there is little downtime.
The threads are 100% dissolvable. The body will break them down gradually over time.
What are the advantages of a Thread Lift?
As we get older, we tend to lose volume in our face and our skin begins to sag. This is due to gravitational forces as well as the loss of elastin and collagen and elastin – two critical skin supporting structures. This results in a longer and more square older looking face.
Whilst BOTOX® is brilliant at smoothing wrinkles formed by movement and dermal fillers are great at restoring the facial volume as well as improving skin folds, what was lacking was a non-surgical procedure that lifts sagging skin and restores the face’s youthful V-shape.
Whilst a traditional face lift surgery is probably the best way to address sagging skin, there is a huge expense and downtime. There is also the risk you take with any surgery and no doubt you have seen some results which are pretty scary looking too.
A thread face lift is a great solution for fixing sagging skin with no surgery. It looks natural and is very effective as well as safe.
What types of absorbable threads are used?
The Mint Lift uses sterile and biodegradable PDO (Polydioxanone) threads. The MINT PDO threads are FDA approved and are often the preferred PDO threads because of their strength.
What types of PDO threads are there and how are they are used in thread lifting?
There are various sizes, shapes as well as thickness of PDO threads. Understanding the best way to use them comes with years of experience. Advanced skills and knowledge are required to get the best results and safely.
MINT Thread Lift vs Other Thread Lifts
The MINT thread lift differentiates itself from competitors by the shape of the barbs that are on the sutures holding the tissue of the face in place. These barbs are of a helical shape and are stronger and more capable of anchoring the tissues in place, achieving a lift that will last longer than a lot of other thread lifts. The diameter is between 0.400 – 0.499mm.
As with all PDO threads they promote collagen in the areas that are treated and dissolve naturally.
These then are the materials of choice.
What Is A Typical Procedure Like?
A local anesthetic will be injected to numb the areas where the treatment is taking place. Dr. Sister will then mark the specific entry points. The threads are inserted in to the skin with a tiny needle so that he can lift and reshape the skin. Finally the inision point is dressed.
Are There any Side-Effects?
As this is a minimally-invasive treatment there is no downtime. You can experience some mild bruising and swelling but that will go within a few days. As the threads are both non-allergic and non-antigenic, this is a safe and reliable procedure patients.
How Long do the Results Last?
The results can last up to 18 months and as there is no surgery the results may be maintained with similar treatments.
